Greatest Innings of All Time He was a bowler’s greatest fear. His 189 runs against England at Old Trafford in 1984 is the ultimate example of this. In what is now regarded as the greatest one-day innings of all time, facing defeat, chasing 267 the West Indies were at 103 for 7 when Sir Viv single-handedly turned it all around. Most Memorable Moment Viv remembers his most memorable moment in cricket as a World Series match at Gloucester Park in Perth. He “scored a beautiful hundred – a wonderful knock,” before his batting partner Roger Harper interrupted the celebration and told him to turn around. “There was this beautiful creature dressed only in her birthday suit.
